Seven Heavens
Most Muslims assert that the Qur'an's views on creation and science align with modern scientific understanding. This conviction stems from the belief that the Qur'an must be flawless in every way to be considered a divine revelation. However, it is essential to critically examine this claim because we see more than 20 grammarical errors in the Arabic text in the Quran! If you speak in Arabic and want to read them, contact me.
Unlike the Bible, the Qur'an does not contain a single comprehensive passage on creation. Instead, its verses on the topic are dispersed throughout the text.
A common criticism of the Quran, as with the Hadith, is that it contains numerous scientific and historical errors (bisides the Arabic grammar errors I have mentioned above).
Earth and heavens created in six days:
The Qur'an says that the Earth and heavens were formed in six days. Are you sure? Lets consider that today.
"We created the heavens and the earth and all between them in Six Days, nor did any sense of weariness touch Us".
Quran 50:38
In six days?
What is that then?
The Earth specifically was created in two days according to the Qur'an, and in four days (on days three and four according to the tafsirs) were created mountains and the sustenance of the Earth.
"Say: Is it that ye deny Him Who created the earth in two Days? And do ye join equals with Him? He is the Lord of (all) the Worlds. He set on the (earth), mountains standing firm, high above it, and bestowed blessings on the earth, and measure therein all things to give them nourishment in due proportion, in four Days, in accordance with (the needs of) those who seek (Sustenance)."
Quran 41:9-10
In six days? Or in two days? Plus 4 days for trees? It seems the Islamic allah does not know the answer to my question.
The Qur'an says that the creation of mountains and sustenance occurred in a specific period that ended two days before the creation of the universe was completed.
Seven Earths:
The Quran states that there exist seven earths.
"Allah it is who hath created seven heavens, and of the earth the like thereof. The commandment cometh down among them slowly, that ye may know that Allah is Able to do all things, and that Allah surroundeth all things in knowledge."
Quran 65:12
A hadith in Bukhari reveals that these seven Earths are stacked above each other.
The Prophet said, "Whoever takes a piece of the land of others unjustly, he will sink down the seven earths on the Day of Resurrection."
Sahih Bukhari 3:43:634
The number, like seven earths, might have come from a misunderstanding or indigenous interpretation of mythology from classical antiquity in which there were seven moving planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, the sun and moon). The number seven, however, does not accord with the findings of modern astronomers, which know there to be eight ordinary planets and five dwarf planets, making for a grand total of thirteen in our solar system.
The Solar System has eight recognized planets. In order from closest to the Sun to farthest, they are:
1. Mercury
2. Venus
3. Earth
4. Mars
5. Jupiter
6. Saturn
7. Uranus
8. Neptune
Additionally, there are dwarf planets, with Pluto being the most famous among them, along with others like Eris, Haumea, and Makemake. These bodies are also part of the Solar System but are not classified as the main planets.
Modern astronomy also has found many thousands of planets in other solar systems and Cosmologists estimate that hundreds of billions of stars and planets exist in the universe at large.
Seven heavens:
The universe consists of hundreds of billions of galaxies, each with hundreds of billions of stars. The Quran states that beyond our heaven which contains the stars, there exist another six heavens. The myth of seven heavens was a common idea prevalent in the Middle East during the time when the Qur'an was first recited.
"See ye not how Allah has created the seven heavens one above another".
Quran 71:15
Can these verses refer to the seven layers of the atmosphere. Is it possible?
However, Quran 37:6 and Quran 67:5 state that stars occupy the nearest heaven. Additionally, there are 5 rather than 7 principal layers to the Earth's atmosphere.
The Earth's atmosphere is typically divided into five main layers, each with distinct characteristics. These layers, starting from the surface of the Earth and moving outward, are:
1. Troposphere: This is the lowest layer of the atmosphere, extending from the Earth's surface up to about 8-15 kilometers (5-9 miles). It is where weather phenomena occur, and it contains approximately 75% of the atmosphere's mass.
2. Stratosphere: Above the troposphere, the stratosphere extends from about 15 kilometers to 50 kilometers (9 to 31 miles) above the Earth's surface. This layer contains the ozone layer, which absorbs and scatters ultraviolet solar radiation.
3. Mesosphere: The mesosphere stretches from 50 kilometers to about 85 kilometers (31 to 53 miles) above the Earth. This layer is where most meteorites burn up upon entering the Earth's atmosphere.
4. Thermosphere: Extending from about 85 kilometers to 600 kilometers (53 to 373 miles) above the Earth, the thermosphere is characterized by a rapid increase in temperature with height. The auroras (Northern and Southern Lights) occur in this layer.
5. Exosphere: The outermost layer of the Earth's atmosphere, the exosphere extends from about 600 kilometers (373 miles) to about 10,000 kilometers (6,200 miles). It gradually fades into the vacuum of space and contains very low densities of hydrogen and helium.
These layers are defined based on temperature gradients, chemical composition, and physical characteristics.
"Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars".
Quran 37:6
The sky/heaven as something that can fall:
The Quran describes the sky/heaven as a roof held up by Allah that can fall or fragments of which may break off and fall upon unfortunate individuals. This is challenging in light of the modern realization that the sky is simply a conglomeration of various gasses.
"And if they were to see a fragment of the heaven falling, they would say: A heap of clouds."
Quran 52:44
"See they not what is before them and behind them, of the sky and the earth? If We wished, We could cause the earth to swallow them up, or cause a piece of the sky to fall upon them. Verily in this is a Sign for every devotee that turns to Allah (in repentance)."
Quran 34:9
"Hast thou not seen how Allah hath made all that is in the earth subservient unto you? And the ship runneth upon the sea by His command, and He holdeth back the heaven from falling on the earth unless by His leave. Lo! Allah is, for mankind, Full of Pity, Merciful."
Quran 22:65
The only correct meaning in Islam, which is the same in the Bible, is: "The heavens could be rolled up."
Heavens could be rolled up:
Quran 21:104 and Quran 39:67 state that the heavens will be 'rolled up' when comes the day of judgement.
"The Day when We shall roll up the heavens as a recorder rolleth up a written scroll. "
Quran 21:104
"No just estimate have they made of Allah, such as is due to Him: On the Day of Judgment the whole of the earth will be but His handful, and the heavens will be rolled up in His right hand: Glory to Him! High is He above the Partners they attribute to Him!"
Quran 39:67
Lets see what the Bible says about that:
The phrase "the heavens could be rolled up" is not a metaphorical expression but a literal one found in the Bible, particularly in passages like Isaiah 34:4 and Revelation 6:14. It describes the end times events or the judgment of God.
"Come near, you nations, to hear; And heed, you people! Let the earth hear, and all that is in it, The world and all things that come forth from it.
For the indignation of the Lord is against all nations, And His fury against all their armies; He has utterly destroyed them, He has given them over to the slaughter.
Also their slain shall be thrown out; Their stench shall rise from their corpses, And the mountains shall be melted with their blood.
All the host of heaven shall be dissolved, And the heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll; All their host shall fall down As the leaf falls from the vine, And as fruit falling from a fig tree.
“For My sword shall be bathed in heaven; Indeed it shall come down on Edom (Palestine), And on the people of My curse, for judgment."
"And all the host of heaven" - the Hebrew word used here for 'host' (צבא tsaba) is Army , " Army of Heaven".
The Hebrew word "tsaba" (צָבָא) primarily means "army" or "host." It refers to a group organized for warfare, such as an army of soldiers. Additionally, it can denote a multitude or a large organized group, often used in the context of heavenly hosts, such as the stars or angelic beings, symbolizing an organized array of entities. In the Bible, "tsaba" is frequently used to describe the armies of Israel, the celestial bodies, or the angelic armies of God.
The word "dissolved" means they will melt and flow down by the application of heat or exposure to high temperature.
The words "And the heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll" means that just as a scroll can be rolled up during a huge explosion like a nuclear explosion, so too in the heaven/sky we will see an explosion like a nuclear mashroom explosion. The term you're referring to is likely "mushroom cloud," which is a distinctive cloud of smoke, fire, and debris that forms in the shape of a mushroom after a large explosion, especially a nuclear explosion. The cloud rises rapidly and then expands outward, resembling the cap of a mushroom. This phenomenon occurs due to the intense heat and energy released during the explosion, causing hot gases to rise and cooler air to be drawn in, forming the characteristic mushroom shape.
So, this is not a metaphor but a literal judgement of God over Palestine and the Muslim Army of Iran coming to attack Israel during the Third World War:
"Behold, the day of the Lord is coming, And your spoil (Israel) will be divided in your midst.
For I will gather all the nations (Iran, Palestine, Arabs and Muslims) to battle against Jerusalem; The city shall be taken, The houses rifled, And the women ravished. Half of the city shall go into captivity, But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
Then the God Yahovah will go forth And fight against those nations, As He fights in the day of battle.
And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives...And this shall be the plague with which the God Yahovah will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem:
Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet, Their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets, And their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths."
Who is this God Yahovah with feet coming to fight against Muslims? He is the Son of God who has the name Yahova God too!
"For thus says the God Yahovah of hosts: “He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you (Jews); for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye. For surely I will shake My hand against them, and they shall become spoil for their servants. Then you will know that the God Yahovah of hosts has sent Me.
“Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion! For behold, I am coming and I will dwell in your midst,” says the God Yahovah. “Many nations shall be joined to the God Yahovah in that day, and they shall become My people. And I will dwell in your midst. Then you will know that the God Yahovah of hosts has sent Me to you."
Zechariah 2
Who is this God Yahovah to be sent to our planet to defend Jews? He will be sent by God Yahovah too. We see here two Yahovas ir two Gods. They are God the Father and God the Son Jesus!
"And the God Yahovah shall inherit Judah as His share on the Holy Land, and He shall again choose Jerusalem.
Silence all flesh from before the God Yahovah, for He is aroused out of His holy habitation."
Praise to the God Yahovah coming to defend Jews and Israel during the Third World War! He is God like His Father! He is the Son of God Jesus! Amen
